Cake cookies

So I just heard about these a week ago when a friend of mine made them and they were sooo good. Then she told me how she made them! So I start excitedly telling people about them, and apparently they are something that everyone knows about, but me. But just in case you haven't heard, I want you to know how incredibly easy these cookies are to make.

Ingredients:
1 (9oz) pkg. cake mix (your favorite flavor)
2/3 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup butter melted
1 egg
1/2 cup chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, raisins, M&Ms, nuts, crasins (whatever you like in cookies)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375* In a mixing bowl, beat the cake mix, oatmeal, butter and egg. Stir in chips. Drop in tablespoons amounts on ungreased baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 min or until lightly browned.

Wow! Those sound amazing, and easy enough to be just my kind of baking. Thanks for the idea.

For a Fruit Cake Cookie, you could use spice cake mix and add golden raisins and fruit cake fruit, mainly red and green cherries, cut in small pieces, similar to raisins. My Mom used to make the cookie batter from scratch for her Fruit Cake Cookies but this would work for an easier recipe.

one more comment about making Fruit Cake Cookies...leave out the oatmeal. Need to consider whether that would make cookie batter to runny.
